But since we're asking you to trust us with designing spaces where you'll live and work, figured we owe you a clear explanation about how we handle your personal info. No corporate speak - just honest talk about what we do with your data.

What info we collect

When you reach out to us or we start working together, we'll need some basics:

• Your name, email, phone number - y'know, so we can actually talk to you
• Property details and project requirements you share with us
• Any documents, photos, or site info you send over
• Communication history - emails, meeting notes, that sketch you drew on a napkin
• Payment info when we get to contracts (processed securely, don't worry)
• Website usage data - pretty standard stuff like IP addresses and browser types

How we use your information

We're not selling your data to anyone - that's not our business. Here's what we actually do with it:

• Design your project (kinda the main point, right?)
• Keep you updated on progress and schedule changes
• Handle contracts, invoices, and all that administrative stuff
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other pros working on your project
• Improve our services based on what works and what doesn't
• Occasionally send updates about our work - but you can opt out anytime

Who we share it with

We don't blast your info around, but sometimes we gotta share it with:

• Structural engineers, contractors, and consultants working on your project
• Municipal authorities when submitting permits and approvals
• Our legal and accounting folks (they're bound by confidentiality too)
• Cloud storage providers - but everything's encrypted

Everyone we work with signs confidentiality agreements. We've been doing this since 2003 and haven't had a single breach.

Your project photos

Here's something important - we love showcasing our completed work in our portfolio. But we'll always ask permission first before using any photos of your property. If you'd rather keep things private, that's totally fine. Some clients want the publicity, others don't - your call entirely.

Cookies and website stuff

Our website uses cookies - those little files that remember you came by. They help us understand which pages people actually look at and make the site work better. Nothing intrusive, just basic analytics. You can disable 'em in your browser if you want.

How long we keep your data

For active projects, we keep everything until completion plus seven years - that's the legal requirement in Ontario for architectural records. After that, we archive or delete it. If you just inquired but didn't move forward, we'll keep your contact info for about two years in case you circle back.

Your rights

This is your data, so you've got rights:

• Ask what info we have about you
• Request corrections if something's wrong
• Delete your data (except stuff we legally have to keep)
• Object to certain uses of your information
• Get a copy of everything in a portable format

We take security seriously - encrypted file transfers, secure servers, password-protected systems, the works. Our team's trained on data protection, and we review our security protocols regularly. No system's 100% foolproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your info safe.

Sometimes we'll link to manufacturer websites, municipal resources, or other external sites. Once you click through, their privacy policies apply - we can't control what they do. Just something to keep in mind.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a fresh date. For major changes, we'll send out an email to active clients. Worth checking back occasionally if you're curious.
